Employment Law

We represent employees in disputes with their employers, and advise small employers on getting the paperwork right before a dispute is possible.

Federal discrimination claims usually run through the EEOC first, and the filing window can be as short as 180 days. If you have been fired, demoted or pushed out and think the reason was unlawful, the clock is the first thing we look at.

We also review severance and separation agreements before they are signed. Those documents are almost always negotiable, and the release language in them is broader than most people realise on a first reading.

Matters we handle

Discrimination and harassment claims
Retaliation and whistleblower protection
Wrongful discharge in violation of public policy
Severance and separation agreement review
Unpaid wages and overtime claims
Non-compete and non-solicitation disputes
Employee handbooks and workplace policies
