Estate Planning & Probate

A plan is only useful if it works on the worst day of your family's life. We draft for that day, then keep the documents current as your circumstances change.

Every estate plan we prepare starts with a conversation about who is involved, what you own, and how you would want decisions made if you could not make them yourself. The documents follow from that, not the other way round.

We also handle estate administration for families who have lost someone. That work runs through the Clerk of Superior Court in the county where the person lived, and we take on as much or as little of it as the executor wants to hand over - from the full administration down to a single contested claim.

Matters we handle

Last wills and testaments
Revocable living trusts and special needs trusts
Durable powers of attorney and health care directives
Estate and gift tax planning
Probate and estate administration
Executor and trustee representation
Will caveats and contested estates
