Privacy Policy
Last updated October 31, 2026
We collect only what you choose to give us. When you send a message or request a consultation, we receive the name, email address, telephone number and description of your matter that you type into the form, along with the date and the IP address the submission came from.
Submissions are used to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a client, to open and manage your file. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties except where required to provide legal services to you or where the law requires disclosure.
Information sent through this website is not protected by the attorney–client privilege until an engagement agreement is signed. Please do not send confidential details, documents relating to an active case, or anything time-sensitive through the contact form. Call the office instead.
This site sets a single session cookie so that forms work correctly and can guard against cross-site request forgery. It expires when you close your browser. If analytics are added in future, this policy will be updated before they are switched on.
The contact page embeds a Google Maps frame, and the site loads fonts and icons from Google Fonts, Font Awesome and a public CDN. Those providers may record the request in their own logs under their own privacy policies.
Form submissions from people who do not become clients are kept for twelve months and then deleted. Client files are retained in line with the North Carolina State Bar's record-keeping guidance. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to info@oakhavencounsel.com.
